Award Nominations

Award Nominations Deadline in January 20th

Each INDIVIDUAL member has the right to place names of members into nomination for the Awards listed below.  A list of the candidates for all awards will be provided to the Awards Committee for consideration.  The Awards Committee will verify that the nominees have fully met the criteria.  The Awards Committee will select the best nominee for the Award.  The Nominees must be Members in Good Standing or employed by Members in good standing with the Association at the time of Nomination and Presentation.

REALTOR® OF THE YEAR 

Description: This Award is for a REALTOR® that has provided outstanding service to both the Real Estate Profession and Community.

Requirements: As a REALTOR® Member of the Association, the Nominee must be a REALTOR® that is an outstanding example in both the Real Estate Profession and their respective Community. The Member Nominee must have a minimum of 5 years of Continuous REALTOR® Membership and must currently and actively serve on at least 1 HAR Committee.

ROOKIE OF THE YEAR

Description: This Award is for an individual REALTOR® Member that has excelled in their business at the start of their respective career.

Requirements: As a REALTOR® Member of the Association, the Nominee must be in the first 2 Years of their Real Estate career at the time of the Nomination. The Member Nominee for this award must have at least 15 transactions or listings taken and closed sales combined from the time of being licensed up to a period of 2 years in the business.

BUSINESS PARTNER OF THE YEAR

Description: This Award is for any individual Business Partner Member that has strongly supported the Association during their respective Membership

Requirements: As a Business Partner Member, the Nominee must be an individual who is employed by a Business Partner Member of the Association. The Nominee must currently and actively serve on at least 1 HAR Committee.

 

DEWITT OSGOOD AWARD

Description: This Award is for an individual REALTOR® that has Association and Community involvement. It was created in the Memory of HAR Past President and Founding Father, Dewitt Osgood. 

Requirements: As a REALTOR® Member of the Association, the Nominee must have both Association involvement and community involvement and have a relationship with and respect from, fellow Members and their peers. The Member Nominee must have a minimum of 3 years in the Real Estate business and must currently and actively serve on at least one HAR Committee.

 

ADVOCACY AWARD

Description: This Award is for a REALTOR® Member or Business Partner of the Association that has outstanding involvement in REALTOR® Party activities or the Community.

Requirements: As a REALTOR® Member or a Business Partner Member of the Association, the Nominee is defined as an individual that outwardly promotes the Association's goals, initiatives, and the REALTOR® brand. The Member Nominee must have a minimum of 3 years in the Real Estate business and must currently and actively serve on at least 1 HAR Committee.

 

LAMPLIGHTER AWARD

Description: This Award is for an individual REALTOR®, Business Partner or Office Staff that is inspirational for others. This Award was created in the Memory of past REALTOR® Members Stephanie Chown & Dave Allen.

Requirements: As a Member or Office Staff of a Member of the Association, the Nominee must be defined as “You may not know them or ever see them, but their way has been marked by the lights they have left burning.” An all-around Member or Staff that just makes you feel good about the Real Estate Industry. 

 

PAUL MILLER GOOD NEIGHBOR AWARD

Description: This Award is for an individual Member that gives back to their community as part of who they are and what they do. This Award was created in Honor of REALTOR® Emeritus Member Paul A. Miller.

Requirements: As a Member of the Association, the Nominee must be defined as someone that gives selflessly of themself, in the way of participating in, or even spearheading, a community-wide project or effort, or in some other significant act of local community kindness. The Member should be a beacon within their respective community or circle of influence.

 

COMMERCIAL AWARD

Description: This Award is for an individual REALTOR® that places an emphasis on Commercial Real Estate in their individual practice. 

Requirements: As a REALTOR® Member of the Association, the Nominee must be actively engaged in Commercial Real Estate in their year of Nomination. The Member Nominee for this award must have at least 1 million in volume or 5 units in Commercial Real Estate.

 

AGRICULTURAL AWARD

Description: This Award is for an individual REALTOR® that places an emphasis on Agricultural Real Estate in their Individual Practice. 

Requirements: As a REALTOR® Member of the Association, the Nominee must be actively engaged in Agricultural Real Estate in their year of Nomination. The Member Nominee for this award must have at least 1 million in volume or 5 units in Agricultural Real Estate.

STAFF AWARD

Description: This Award is for an individual that works for a Company of a REALTOR® Member or Business Partner Member that is an Extraordinaire Asset to their Company.

Requirements: As Office Staff, the Nominee must be defined as an Individual Staff person that provides great service to their Company.
